Hi all,
Just spent a terrific day watching you and your team relaunch Blusbird onto the water.
Well done seems such a trite congratulations for you and your team after so many years of effort and accomplishment but it is sincerely sent to you all.
Hope to return later in the week to hear her strike up and sing across the water as a Blusbird should.
Great job achieved by a great British team, Donald should be proud of you all

We were privileged enough to be able to watch Bluebird come off the ferry onto Bute while on holiday visiting family.
Good luck to you all for your time on Loch Fad.

hi I am thinking of bringing my two little sons who race motorbikes to watch a little piece of history being made have you any idea on what days you may give her a run please thank you bryn jones :D :D

Admin reply: Morning Bryn,
As this is the first time Bluebird will be back on the water, there will be many unknowns, therefore we have no plan or dates when she will be running, and as always it will be weather permitting.
Cheers John.

Congratulations :) Everything looks fabulous, its like looking back in time seeing it as it was when sadly Mr Campbell lost his life. May God be with you when it comes time to start the beast up and drop the clutch. (does it have one?)

Felt very humble on Saturday 30th June watching you all as you fired up the engines - a marvellous achievement.

Thank you for the insight, and the chat.

Many thanks for allowing Debs and myself to watch from within the compound.

Looking forward to the next steps and I'll buy you all a pint up at Loch Fad if I have the chance! We hope to travel up to watch.

In 1965 at the age of 13 I entered a competion to meet Donald Campbell and visit Bluebird. This was run by a now defunct newspaper, The Daily Sketch which was providing some sponsership.

In November 1965 I duly made the trip on the train up to Coniston. I recall being picked at the station in an Aston Martin by a chap called Fishwick who owned a local coach company. Stayed at the Black Bull pub and had an evening meal with Donald & his wife Tonia Bern. Then the next day a site visit to Bluebird and got to sit in the cockpit for a photo shoot for the next days Daily Sketch.

Apart from Donald and Leo Villa his mechanics Does that make me one of the last people to have sat in Bluebird before the fateful day? As a 14 year old I was distraught when he died only 2 months later. I would love to see Bluebird again.
