I watched it tonight. I thought it wasn’t up to much at all. A major manufacturer Like JCB justifying not riveting the plate (we weld we don’t rivet) was very poor. Why go to the effort of reproducing something to meticulous German plans, to then not do it properly ?! Then they go and fit an engine ...

Have you ever watched Eric Dube making armour ? awesome to watch. Bill and I were having this very discussion the other day..... of all things, I fancied making some chainmail or the riveted variety......then I saw how much work was involved so gave myself a quick slap.

I was shocked at how much the material had returned to its god awful springy hard state in the short time we have had to work with it. crazy weird stuff !

I would opine that the position of the chute anchor points were in the best place possible and were not a causative or contributory factor, to raise them would only serve to create a greater lever when the chute is deployed, as such it would take less effort for the chute to pull the car over, espec...

So.... the boffins dried the wood out and now its changed shape...... and they didn't expect this ????? REALLY ????? there is a reason old wooden boats are best kept wet and that is if they are allowed to dry out too much the wood shrinks.
