Re: The Vulcan XH558 & General Aviation Thread

It's been posted before, but I had a good time at East Kirkby for the 3 lancs events...

I'm also impressed with youtube's shake removal software - this was actually even worse before I uploaded it.. :?

Re: What have forum members been up to?

Not been in for a while, hope the big tin thing's going OK, I'll try to catch up on the story! Had a great trip down to Beauleiu last week to see the 1935 Bluebird before it heads back over the water to Daytona, blooming huge it was, but really nice to see it next to CN7 and Campbell senior's Sunbea...

Re: Donald Campbell Bust

I have two large prints of bluebird on Ullswater and a bookcase nicely filling up with WSR, LSR stuff and am waiting patiently for "when it's finished", so I guess I'm within the target customers, but sorry, that bust does nothing for me, the expression's almost caricaturist, looks more like a grima...

Re: Off the Rails

Mallard resto's a hot topic at the moment. I live about 1/2 mile walk along the railway tracks from the Museum at Shildon, so get to have an occasional wander down and chat with the lads down there. When Mallard was in I asked the question, and the answer was a definite "no" - she's to remain as she...

Re: The Vulcan XH558 & General Aviation Thread

Maybe I'll ask about software cal releases when I'm in Boeing factory tour on Honeymoon !! (I'm sure Sue will love it). Anything you want me to ask in the Seattle hydroplane museum, (Not sure Sue's gonna love that as much).

Re: Dead Metal

Beautiful work but very... how can I put this... American? Agreed. For some reason I like the "in progress" pics better than the finished article - it doesn't quite do it for me. Some strange build techniques though - not sure what the tin foil's for, and there's obviously a lot of foam prototyping...

Thought you might like this one - Whether you like the finished article or not, there's quite some effort gone into it! Stew. Think there might be a link missing here Stew ..... All I did was turn 46, and all previous semblance of order and sense disappeared. Try again... http://www.eckertsrodandcu...

Re: Mike & Helen

Congratulations. It's cool being engaged, especially as we're both 46 and at the right time of life to enjoy it properly! - Wedding in May for us... Steampunk style, classic double decker booked to get folk to the train museum for the photographs... ;-).
