Re: Pic of the Day
Whats happening with the flute John is making into many pieces? We could offer them for sale could we not or is it to late? In the bin! It was part of the boat for quite some time.

We repaired the original section enough for it to go back in.

Re: Pic of the Day
Indeed- the removed section has been part of the right-hand flute for a few years, but has never been part of the boat. The next couple of POTDs will show more.

Re: Pic of the Day
We cut off the original front of the flute because it was smashed and built a new section. But when we've come to fit it we discovered that the repair to the underlying structure was wrong so the shape of the end of the flute was wrong. Then we decided that we could actually repair the original and put it back. That's now mended and the piece John is cutting off is a new part that we made and grafted in years ago.

Re: Pic of the Day
Today's pic of the day as it appeared as-recovered in late 2000.
This piece almost dragged me to the surface on a lift bag - extremely dangerous - and caused us to re-think how we recovered scrap from the lakebed.
