Jaguar SA set a record for their Country in January on an airfield on the route to Hakskeenpan, just plain white though.

So, what colour is Bloodhound blue then?!
Who cares! The attention to detail and build quality is fantastic. They can paint it pink for me, it'd still look amazing.

Bloodhound delayed...
...and doubtless it'll be delayed again. Advanced engineering, rocketry and 'what have you' never comes in on time or on budget. It's just a fact of life.

There's two types of people who ask the 'when' question. Those who get it when you point out the number and extent of the unknowns still facing us, and those who think the only reason we don't know is because we're crap at our jobs and were we suitably proficient we'd have it worked out to the second.
How I wish a delegation from the second group were in the workshop today when one of the captive nuts holding the front plate for Lefty failed at the last minute. While we risked the choccie-mixing team continuing to mix and aapply (once the stuff is mixed it goes off and there's no going back so we use it or throw it away) the rest of us dreamt up a fix that involved making a convoluted tool to blindly get a nut and washer in to replace it and tighten it through a half-inch access hole in the centre of the sponson lid. It could have been a show-stopper but, as it happens, we got away with it but had it all gone wrong our finish date would've been at least a day adrift.

On another note - we're now more or less done with the spars, sponsons and all their ancillary fairings, etc. So the plan is to assemble them together in the museum for the time being. We'll most likely do this on a Saturday then stay over for food and beer so if anyone would care to join us please let us know and we'll maybe make an event of it.

Displaying that big chunk of the work you've already done sounds like a spiffing idea and should please a few more folks.
