Interesting photo today, showing wooden wedge below the spar.
I'm no aerodynamicist but presumably its purpose was to encourage water thrown up to break away cleanly at the rear, rather than clinging to the rear casing?
What wood is it? A remarkable survival.

It's a plywood, presumably marine grade; though knowing Bluebird it's just as likely the back out of a 1950s wardrobe!

Will the crossed flags & the K7 on the sponsons be painted or will you have vinyl stickers made?

Today’s pic (13/6/18) is v I impressive. It looks though all she needs is an engine (always important lol!), a cockpit,& the lady’s ready for another crack at the world record. There’s probably much more to do, that a total ignoramus like me couldn’t possibly understand. But nevertheless, stirling work everyone!

I was wondering if they'd be a fast option for Bute?

I'd imagine Bill would sooner shave his eyeballs than apply vinyl to the boat irrespective of speed. :D

There might be time at the waters edge as yet !
